Mum Running Marathon In Wellies

Thousands of people from across the country will be training for and running in the London marathon – but it’s a pretty good bet none of them will be wearing footwear as unconventional as Pauline Robinson, or will have a better reason to cross the finishing line. The Norfolk mum is fundraising for eating disorder charity Beat in memory of her late teenage daughter Charlotte who suffered from anorexia.

Although marathon running is demanding enough, Pauline will be making the run a tad more difficult – she is planning to do the event in her wellies. She has even got French welly maker, Le Chameau,  to support her run.

After travelling to Snowdonia and scaling the peak of Snowdon in her wellies (without getting blisters) she said:

I joked I could probably run the London marathon in my wellies and when I got back home a friend said it was a good idea.

So she is!
